Julia Child

The Julia Child rose features a warm, buttery yellow bloom with superb disease resistance. Photo by Don Glentzer.

This gorgeous butter yellow flower provides a strong, sweet licorice-like fragrance. Flowers grow up to 3.5 inches and bloom repeatedly throughout the season from late spring through fall.

This hardy, disease resistant rose does best in full sun and well drained soil. The compact bushes grow two to three feet tall, an ideal fit for almost all gardens. Pruning enhances repeat blooming.

The famous French chef personally selected this rose to bear her name. She fell in love with the butter like color and the licorice fragrance. The Julia Child rose was hybridized by Tom Carruth.
